In the Secret Life of Bees, May has just died. She found out that Zach was in jail and it was just too much for her to handle. Now that Lily can't tell August about her mother because of the mourning, that is all she wants to do. After they mourn, it is Mary day, and again Lily can't talk to August. I can't remember what happens and am excited to find out.
